
1. Avoids reading personal information, is considerate to the other scavengers, and avoids diving at night.
2. He does not eat home-cooked/ home-canned foods. He eats only easily identifiable foods.
3. Scroungers are messy and inconsiderate (tossing objects left and right without the slightest thought as to how it would effect anyone else). Most divers, for example, may find a perfectly good coat. They may not have any need for a coat at the time, so they place it aside in an easy-to-see spot out of the way so it won't get messy.
4.Bees, cats, fire ants, and birds.
5. He might mean that people are always wanting more. That they don't focus on what is really important in life.
6. He was mostly optimistic, sometimes a bit pessimistic, but overall he seemed to feel no shame at all about the way he lives (or lived) his life. Knowing he was homeless, I couldn't help but be impressed at his word choices, he did, at times, seem rather an erudite person.
